Welcome, and thank you for coming and supporting the 2016 Wayland Show. Thank you also to our Sponsors, Supporters and Members, as their continued support is essential.
It is a personal regret that I, together with the committee, had to cancel the cattle classes due to ongoing TB restrictions as I was unable to take the risk to my own herd of cattle, but I sincerely hope that they are back with us next year.
The committee worked very hard to bring a full programme for you all to enjoy and to continue to promote Norfolk and all it has to offer. If you have any ideas on how you think we can improve the Show, I welcome your suggestions.
We also held a very successful Spring Ball in April which raised £14,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society, including £2,000 which was match-funded by Barclays Bank.
I hope you had an enjoyable day and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
President of the Wayland Agricultural Society
Our 2017 Spring Ball is to be held on 22nd April at Lynford Hall.
We will be raising funds for the Norfolk branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity that provides continued support for servicemen and servicewomen who have ever served in the British Army, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force and also their families.
The evening begins at 7pm with a drinks reception followed by dinner, charity auction and dancing until 2am to the Eddie Seales Band. Tickets are £55 each.
