Welcome
The 2009 Wayland Agricultural Show will be on Sunday 2nd August
Latest News: The Household Cavalry

Household Cavalry
Historically, the cavalry has been responsible for many great military victories. The thunder of hooves coupled with the awesome skill of being able to ride a charging horse whilst handling a sword, lance or gun, was a fantastic spectacle. Our armed forces have always maintained tradition. None more so than Skill at Arms by the Household Cavalry.
They are so well known for their ceremonial duties, particularly escorting the Queen. The Wayland Show is proud to bring you the opportunity to see their immense skill in a competition to see which soldier is best at using the sword, lance and revolver, whilst riding his trusty steed, around a course of jumps.

The final of the latter is held at London’s International Show at Olympia. With in-hand and ridden classes, the show is a chance to see some of our best local show horses. See Livestock Page for schedules etc.
Please note that schedules, programs etc for the 2009 Show are now being added as they become available.
Volunteers
We are looking for new committee members to join the Wayland Agricultural Society. Can you can spare one evening a month? Or maybe you’d just like to be a helper during the Show. We have a most active and friendly committee, but many hands make light work.
Please contact the Secretary for more information - See the Contact page for details.
